The Asia Mercantile & Maritime Academy engages students in various social activities to empower their leadership qualities and public engagement skills. The aim is to inculcate individual social responsibility in each student so that they become good citizens and useful future assets of our nation.Students were engaged in two different projects viz. 1)Project SAMARITAN & 2)Project JEEVAMSHAM, both initiatives were conducted with the support of ROTARY INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT 3201 & VPS Lakeshore Hospital, Cochin. Students were recognized by Rotary Club of Cochin West & VPS Lakeshore Hospital in a special meeting held at Hotel Casino and were awarded certificates for the good work done.
All students of The Asia Mercantile & Maritime Academy attended Project SAMARITAN, District Programme of Rotary International District 3201, medical training programme on twenty different life saving skills including Basic Life Support. Participants were given training and hands-on experience on below mentioned life saving methods viz.
